Fighters Biography

When and why did you start training martial arts?

I started with wrestling and then kickboxing at Henk’s gym and I got good at it and then I started competing and got good at it.

How did you transition to MMA?

My coach Henk convinced me ot try and haven’t looked back yet.

What achievements, ranks and titles have you held?

Runner up in LFS Heavyweight

How did you get your fight name?

‘The Lion Slayer’ – When I was competing in the USA, they all started calling me it.

What is your favourite technique, and why?

The Anaconda choke, because it is the easiest position I always end up in.

Who is your hero, and why?

Michael Jai White and Shihan Henk Pelser. Shihan is a mentor and coach, and White because he has respect for the sport and great technique.

What other interesting information can you tell us about yourself?

I am a qualified diesel mechanic and I like to go scuba diving and fishing when I have the time.

What does it mean for you to fight in the EFC?

It means a lot, because it makes people respect you and you can become famous and gain many fans in the process.
