Breaking News
Johannesburg, Gauteng – Following a devastating injury to defending middleweight champion Luke Michael, EFC Welterweight title-holder Ziko Makengele has agreed to be a late replacement against the challenger, Pupanga Tresor for the main event at EFC 100 on the 1st of December. While the EFC wishes Luke a swift recovery following successful surgery yesterday, it is grateful that Makengele has stepped-up to save the bout which will now be for the interim middleweight belt. At the time of going to press, there is no response yet from Tresor’s camp as to whether he has accepted or declined the change of opponent. This is a developing story and media are urged to keep an eye on EFC social platforms for breaking news as and when it happens.
EFC 100, featuring three title fights, is presented by World Sports Betting and takes place on Thursday, 01 December 2022 live from the EFC Performance Institute in JHB, South Africa.
