Johannesburg, South Africa – The highly anticipated EFC 98 has come and gone and, at the end of it all, a new Heavyweight champion was crowned.

The card saw a combination of finishes including decisions, submissions, TKOs and an astounding knockout. The co-main event witnessed an absolute battle between middleweight contenders, Jaco du Plessis and Diego Bandu, with the former ultimately having his hand raised in a split decision.

That only warmed the crowd up for the main event war between Matunga ‘HHH Power’ and Vandam Mbuyi which would see the two contest for the Heavyweight gold, as well as the right to be the fighting pride of the DRC – and that fight very quickly lived up to everything it was expected to be and more.

In the third round of the main event, Djikasa ultimately achieved his goal and captured the title, cementing himself at the top of the division and bringing the Brothers in Arms’ camp their second championship.

Now, all that is left is for the challengers to come forth to a champion who looks to tear through the entire division and cling onto the prize.
