Kickboxing blackbelt David Mambo had an incredible amateur career with 14 wins and just a single loss before signing-up to the EFC. Promising action-packed and entertaining fights, ‘The Hunter’ has incredible throws and sweeps courtesy of a stellar Judo career which he utilises to setup the finish on the canvas. Welcoming him to the Hexagon will be Katiso Matime who has already fought twice in the featherweight division following an incredible amateur career which featured wars with such standout EFC veterans such as Orlando Machava, Luthando Biko, Wade Kerspuy and Gift Walker. Training with Shihan Jaco van Dyk at MMAAK in Pretoria, the ever-improving Matime is still looking to get his hand raised in the Hex and with an agile and swift-footed kickboxing style and will look to immediately put the pressure on the Silverback debutante. This fight is bound to be a stand-up battle as both athletes will take the opportunity of their inclusion on a truly memorable night of action by attempting to finish each other in spectacular fashion in a highly-competitive 145lb division.
EFC 99, Kabesa vs Swanepoel for the EFC Featherweight Championship, presented by World Sports Betting, takes place on Thursday, 03 November 2022 live from the EFC Performance Institute in JHB, South Africa.
