Johannesburg South Africa – Deep in the midst of EFC 79 Fight Week, title contender, Croatia’s Karlo Caput, and Brazil’s Jose Da Rocha & Reinaldo Ekson have landed in sunny Johannesburg ahead of their respective fights.
The athletes are excited to be among some of the first ever guests to stay at the brand new The Capital Hotel & Apartments in Melrose Arch.
Challenging the undisputed champion on Saturday night, the undefeated ‘Croatian Cowboy’ is looking to repeat flyweight champ, Jake Hadley’s feat, “On Saturday I will show the world what Croatia brings to the Hexagon when I beat Igeu. But for now, I relax at this amazing hotel.”
Returning for his 6th EFC fight, Da Rocha faces the super dangerous Zimbabwean, Themba Gorimbo in the EFC welterweight Grand Prix. A No.1 contender spot and a guaranteed shot at EFC gold is at stake.
“It feels good to be back in South Africa. I am solely focused on defeating Themba and getting my shot at EFC gold!” said Da Rocha.
Making his EFC debut alongside teammate and countryman, Reinaldo Ekson brings an impressive 14-4 record to his main card opening bout against local superstar, Tumisang Madiba.
“I am happy to be here. EFC is a big organisation and I can’t wait to show the fans what I can do in the Hexagon.”
These fights take place on the main card this Saturday at the top of an eleven-bout fight card featuring many of the EFC’s best athletes.
