Cape Town, South Africa – EFC HQ recently received work that former title challenger, South Africa’s Gary Joshua, has withdrawn from his fight against England’s Coner Hignett, scheduled for EFC 78 on Saturday 13 April at GrandWest. With this figth falling-off, Shaun de Lange versus Marcel Teniers and Saxon Delafield versus Rodrique Kena will elevate to the main card.
A future date and opponent for Hignett will be announced soon.
“Unfortunately,” started EFC VP talent Graeme Cartmell, “Gary had to withdraw with some personal issues that arose.” Cartmell continued, “We are not despaired though, now all the new fans around the world get a chance to witness the brutal brilliance that belongs to some of these old-school monsters.”
These two fights join the double title header featuring JP buys vs Luthando Biko and Nkazimulo Zulu vs Jake Hadley and the EFC welterweight Grand Prix fight between Luke Michael and Conrad Seabi.
August Kayambala vs Sindile Manengela will now headline the prelims.
