EFC returns to SABC 3 on Saturday nights

Johannesburg (South Africa) – SABC Sport, South Africa’s sport broadcasting powerhouse, announced a broadcast partnership with EFC, the leading mixed martial arts (MMA) organisation on the African continent.

 

EFC has had continued growth since its inception, from a local MMA organisation into one of the world leaders, reaching over 600 million homes in 120 countries around the globe weekly. SABC Sport has partnered with EFC to continue to bring the sport even closer to South African fans.

 

The partnership will see 1 hour of dedicated EFC programming every week on SABC 3, plus 10 live EFC events broadcast per year. Starting on Saturday 2 March 2019, SABC 3 will broadcast 1 hour of exciting EFC programming every Saturday evening from 20h00 – 21h00. The best bouts from EFC will be featured along with premium programming building up to each new live EFC event. On the evening of every live EFC event, SABC 3 will broadcast the full 3-hour event delayed live from 21h30 – 00h30, featuring the 5 main-card bouts.

Notable highlights of the broadcast partnership include:

– EFC will be broadcast on SABC 3 in 2019 from March, with the first broadcast on Saturday 2 March

– Every Saturday from 20h00 – 21h00

– All 10 live EFC events will be broadcast on Saturday from 21h:30 – 00h30

– TF2 debuts on 27 April 2019 with the live finale taking place on 29 June 2019 event at Carnival City

 

All eyes now turn to EFC 77 Van Staden vs Cummins, Vanderaa vs Misholas taking place on Saturday 16 March live from Time Square, Menlyn Maine, Pretoria.
