Fighters Biography
What do you do for fight preparation?
Well, I believe you need to train fighting to fight. Lots of fitness, lots of sparring, lots of pads and lots of rolling. I don’t believe in cross fit, but then again, I’m a fatty.
When and why did you start martial arts training?
My friends and trainers Ryan de Vasconsellos and Wade Henderson both were fighting. In 2009 they said I must join them for a couple of training sessions. I loved it, and after watching EFC 01 I knew that’s what I wanted to do.
How did you transition to MMA?
I’m a brawler, been bouncing since I was 16, but I soon discovered that even though in the street that’s what you need in the Hexagon you need a lot more. I started looking into all the disciplines that one uses in MMA. I liked a couple and stuck with them.
